GST-exclusive means your amount is the price before tax, and GST gets added on top. GST-inclusive means your amount already has GST baked in, and this calculator works backward to show you the taxable value and the tax portion.

Gold, silver and jewellery have carried a special, lower GST rate since GST launched — it was kept at 3% through the September 2025 rate rationalization that moved most other goods to a 5%/18%/40% structure.
